By John Coates, Founder of RF Safe
Mr. President,
I am writing to you as a father and as someone who has dedicated decades of my life to researching and raising awareness about the dangers of radiofrequency (RF) radiation. Today, I am pleading with you—not just as a concerned citizen, but as a desperate parent. My seven-year-old daughter sits in her classroom, 465 feet from a powerful microwave cell phone tower, exposed daily to radiation that all credible research worldwide unequivocally states should be at least 1,500 feet away from schools.
Other nations—Israel, France, India, and many more—have taken bold steps to protect their children. They’ve banned or severely restricted cell towers near schools and kindergartens. Meanwhile, here in America, we are stuck with thermal-only guidelines that have no grounding in real science and fail to account for the non-thermal biological effects of RF radiation—effects that are well-documented in peer-reviewed studies worldwide.
Mr. Trump, the science is clear. RF radiation is not just about heating tissue. The real dangers run far deeper, into the very bioelectric essence of the human body, creating a dissonance that disrupts our biology at a fundamental level. The entropic waste flooding our children’s bodies is a silent, invisible threat—one that research has linked to ADHD, autism, neurological dysfunction, DNA damage, and even cancer.
The World Knows the Truth—Why Don’t We?
- Israel prohibits cell towers near kindergartens.
- France has banned towers around schools entirely.
- India has slashed exposure limits by 90% and enforces strict setbacks.
- America? We are bound by outdated, unconstitutional laws that serve corporate convenience rather than public safety.
The Unconstitutional Laws You Can Change
Mr. President, Section 704 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 is a gag order on communities. It silences parents, strips local governments of their ability to protect their citizens, and enforces outdated FCC safety guidelines that were never based on biological science. These laws prevent me—and every other parent—from even raising health concerns about cell towers near schools.
This is not freedom. This is not democracy. It is corporate tyranny, and it is harming our children today.
The Science Speaks for Itself
We don’t need to guess, Mr. Trump. The research is overwhelming:
- The Yale ADHD Study: Prenatal exposure to cellphone radiation caused hyperactivity and memory deficits in mice, mirroring ADHD symptoms in children.
- Dr. Martin Pall’s Research: RF radiation activates voltage-gated calcium channels, leading to oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, and biological disruptions linked to autism, infertility, and more.
- National Toxicology Program (NTP) Studies: Showed clear evidence of cancer and DNA damage at exposure levels far below FCC limits.
Yet, we are bound by safety guidelines created by engineers decades ago—guidelines that only consider thermal effects, ignoring the biological impacts that happen without heating.
A Direct Plea to You, Mr. Trump
You’ve built your legacy on challenging broken systems. You’ve championed American families and promised to protect our children. Now, I ask you to confront this invisible enemy—unconstitutional laws and unscientific standards that put our children’s health at risk.
Mr. President, I implore you:
- Repeal Section 704 of the Telecommunications Act. Restore local governments’ right to protect their communities and challenge unsafe cell tower placements.
- Enforce Public Law 90-602. This law, passed in 1968, mandates the government to continuously update safety standards based on modern science. It’s time to act on it.
- Replace Thermal-Only Guidelines. Demand that the FCC adopt medically backed standards that account for non-thermal effects—DNA damage, oxidative stress, neurological harm—and the cumulative impact of chronic exposure.
- Mandate Safe Setbacks. Require a minimum distance of 1,500 feet between cell towers and schools, as recommended by global research and precautionary practices in other nations.
Do It for America’s Children
Mr. Trump, if you love America’s children—if you love your own grandchildren—please stop letting them be harmed by unconstitutional laws. Every day you delay action, children like my daughter, Melanie, sit under a slow, silent threat that could alter the trajectory of their lives.
This is not fearmongering. It’s reality. And we need a leader brave enough to confront it. You have the power to make America not just great again, but safe again—for the youngest and most vulnerable among us.
Stand with parents. Stand with science. Stand with the truth.
Sincerely,
John Coates
